I finally had the pleasure of meeting George Peet at MAL this year. Tug had been telling me so much about him since he took the title of Mr CT Leather in October after Tug had it. George is a firefighter up in the New Haven, CT area.

While I can't give him credit for traveling the furthest for the contest (that was won again by Mark Cady from FL), he does get credit for being the current titleholder who traveled the longest distance to be there with us.

So, during my stepdown speech, I wanted the leather flag held up on stage. I had a story to pass along to everyone as it was told by Judy Tallwing-McCarthy when I was out at HOA. I asked Storm, American Leatherwoman 2004 (and my judge for last year's contest) and George if they'd hold the flag for me. "It'll just take a minute," I assured them. Apparently, I yacked long enough that their arms grew tired, resulting in them having to switch arms midway through my diatribe. It looked cool on stage though, doesn't it?
