A terribly long wait for shuttle buses that would have never gotten us to the venue (leaving us to pay for a cab), and an all new venue that wasn't very well signed/marked.....I was left completely discombobulated. However, I had the fortune to be graced with Canadian Royalty at the contest! I became the seat-neighbor to Paul Ciantar, Canadian Leatherman 2004. He's wearing the new sash that was presented to he and Jayne by the American Leather Family on Friday night during the Maple Leaf Party.

Poor Paul had to endure my screaming, hooting and hollering. We even pulled off a few well-executed "Pocket PIGGGGGGG!" for our pal Sean Cribbin, Mr Leatherman Toronto 2005. But Paul heard it first -- when Michael did his poem on stage, I said, "I think he just won." And sure enough, he did.

Sadly, I have no pictures of myself and Michael on stage. I'm disappointed in that both Michael and Alan are dear to me, but I was not included in on any photographs. The American Leatherfamily was. What's with that?
