The 2005 Bears on Liberty Weekend formal was held at the Atwater Kent Museum. Attendees boarded trolleys and were brought to the Museum, where they entered a wonderfully preserved display of Philadelphia's historical artifacts and little known antiquities! (No, not the leathermen and women!) The Philadelphia Submissive Snack and Learn and Diva Veronica Bound (a bear herself) hostessed the event's cocktail celebration, passing wonderful hot and cold hors' douevres, while friends from the Philadelphians MC and NJ Andromeda kept the libations flowing. The meal itself was scrumptious, and the dance party to follow, DJed by none other than Barney, out of this world.

The Atwater Kent's main floor is a giant map of the whole Philadelphia area. I think I'm standing in South Philly right there! They gave me a chance to toast them, and I made an ass out of myself walking around the floor saying I was talking to them from various places in town like a damned news reporter! GEEK!

The Liberty Bears will be celebrating their 10th anniversary with yet another BOLW in May of 2006. Do not miss it!
