My name is Pandora. I'm a single white female BBW and I'll turn 36 in April of 2007. I was born and raised in Bucks County, so being the suburban, pure farm girl was apparently what I was supposed to have been! I've been involved in the lifestyle for a number of years, and am out with what I do to my family and well, my friends too. My involvement in the BDSM community began years back when a man introduced me to the world of Dominance and submission. I started from the bottom up, learning the traditions of leather both physically as well as spiritually. It was a ladder that I climbed quickly, much to the credit of my mentor, learning not only the techniques but also the philosophy behind Domination, as well as the skill and temperament needed to be an exacting sadist and disciplinarian. I've worked as a professional domina for a number of years; however, my roots are firmly placed in the leather community, as a teacher and as a mentor. I'm involved with a number of groups locally and nationally, covering leather, BDSM lifestyle and spiritual interests.
I am proud to say that much of my play and philosophies of SM transcend gender or sexual proclivity borders, heightening to that of a spiritual journey. I thrive on the reactions of others...the tears, the moans, the shaking, and the helpless look of surrender. Being a dominant sadist and bondage artist, I enjoy engaging in play with persons who are either into bondage or who are masochists. Genuine service submissives are also truly appreciated. I adore uniforms, cigars, edge play, sharp objects, and and profound psychodrama, and with my being bisexual, I am a (selective) equal opportunist. Outside of the dungeon, I enjoy teaching workshops, movies, traveling to BDSM events and engaging in spirited discussions involving living the leather lifestyle.
I've now found my home working within the transplant community as a coordinator. It's a thankless job, and I'm fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful, compassionate individuals there who really are the best of the best and care about what we do for so many people. It's hard being back in the vanilla workplace after so many years, but what I do is that important that I can put aside my selfish leather cravings and help touch someone else's life. I'm that empassioned about what it is that I do, and have been touched by the countless people in and out of the scene who have been impacted by the organ shortage worldwide that I've chosen to make Organ and Tissue Donation and Awareness my platform for my title year. Back at the end of 2003, I'd been asked once again to run for the title of Ms Philadelphia Leather. Why, you might ask, would someone who is already so involved, and so overworked, take on this sort of responsibility? There's actually a good reason. I believe in giving back what has been given to me. My formal speech for MsPHL addressed the infinite opportunities I've had, from my mentor who laid such a solid foundation for me, to the few who have taken control of me and shown me their dominance, the many folks who have passed along their knowledge, to the many who have knelt before me and entrusted me with their minds, their bodies and their souls. I owe it to all of these folks to give back, in kind, my service to others. I want to see new folks coming into their own as leatherfolk have the same opportunities as I was afforded to learn and to grow and to find myself in leather. I was deeply touched by how many folks, many of whom I've just recently met, came out and supported me, and supported Philadelphia Leather. We are a community of individuals because WE CHOOSE to band together and share common interests and common ground. I feel blessed to have this community as a part of my life and embrace the honor and ritualistic nature of it -- some could say this is a type of religion or spirituality in and of itself.
Ms World was a life-altering experience. I chose the Ms World title to run for because I am a leatherwoman who has been out and involved in the community and I had a message to get out. I went to Dallas not to win, but to learn and grow, gain new experiences, represent Philadelphia, and to get my message out. That weekend, I met 5 other really amazing women and learned so much. There were many challenges, including the distance from my loved ones and friends, and the huge feat of being heard in a crowd of brilliance, intelligence and passion. I was afforded the opportunity to touch others, to learn what they knew, feed them new information and change opinions. Never in a million years did I expect to leave Dallas with the leather shawl and the responsibilities of the title. I am honored, flattered, and touched that I have been found worthy to be YOUR Ms World Leather for 2004.
As Ms World Leather 2004, I worked alongside many hardworking communities throughout the 13 months, 61 events and close to 50,000 miles of travel. But just because the service shawl has been passed on does not mean I am finished by any stretch of the imagination. I remain committed to my community and to my message, and I will continue to advocate for those who are in need of a transplant, or for those who have selflessly given the gift of life. My message about organ donor awareness impacts so many in and out of leather, all around the globe. I hope you will reach out to me if I can be of service to you, if you have a message to share with me about a personal experience with donation, if you are in need of a donor or recipient advocate, or if you just want another friend. I hope to continue to network with groups and individuals around the globe, collaborating on some really fantastic projects that will benefit everyone. Join me again in the 4th Leather Day of Caring Worldwide.
